Mother's Day
Our mother (my brother, sister and mine) had two different types of breast cancer in the 1960's and since we were living in Cairo, Egypt at the time, flew over to Germany by herself because her husband (our father) could not leave work to be with her, to have both breasts removed... much later in life, she was diagnosed with Lymphoma but because of her age, the Oncologist informed the family that there was no need to treat her. A few years later she died of natural causes a couple of months before her 96th birthday. She was well liked by everyone and I suppose her favorite qualities were that she never met anyone she did not like and always found the positive side of everything even when there was nothing there. Her favorite flowers were daisies.
